INFORMATION IN ITALY ARE MORE ON WEB
From AGICOM research, online news are growing but the TV remains the queen of the news.
If in our country, television remains the most popular source of information, the second place in this ranking are online media, that springs thanks to the social networks, which record a consensus of continual growing.
This is what emerges from the cognitive study of "Information and Internet in Italy. Business models, consumption, professions ", conducted between March and April 2015 by the Authority of Communications.
Looking more closely at the research results, you notice how the small TV screen still occupies an even hegemonic position and is considered to be the primary means of information for more than half of the population (55%), crossing age and gender. However, TV like other traditional media, namely the press (12%) and the radio (6%), suffered a negative trend in the last six years.
An entirely different trend however is happening with digital platform that marks positive trend in the same period, reaching 27% of preferences. An increase in which catches the eye the role attributed to social media and blog - for the 10% of Italians (especially young people) they represent the door of preferred access to the daily news.
As can be seen from the report, "the on-line media in all its configurations (newspapers, social networks, blogs, search engines), for its immediacy, real-time coverage of the news and gratuity, is emerging as either means of information to the public, or as a source of information for the other media."
